Women's medal rounds are set!

Medal matches at the Poreč Major get underway at 17:00 CET Saturday afternoon

Brazilian number-one seeds Larissa Franca and Talita De Rocha Antunes have earned a spot in the Gold Medal match at the Poreč Major Saturday evening, where they'll be looking to clinch their sixth consecutive tournament win against 17th-seeded Heather Bansley and Sarah Pavan of Canada.

In midday action, Larissa and Talita squared off against Canada's Kristina Valjas and Jamie Broder in a Semi Final that had the grandstands rocking. The Canadians played with heart, but in the end they couldn't withstand the all-out assault of the top-seeded force from Brazil, who earned their place in the Gold Medal match in two sets. The other Canadians in the final four, Bansley and Pavan, fared better in a back-and-forth Semi Final tussle with Australia's Louise Bawden and Taliqua Clancy, winning in 52 minutes.

The Bronze Medal match at 17:00 CET will pit Broder and Valjas against Bawden and Clancy, with the Gold Medal contenders taking the Center Court sand afterward at 18:00.
